The winner, The Ormer Gatherer (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous form.

An enquiry was held into Darragh Keenan's riding of Venus Slipper, placed second, in the concluding stages of the race after he appeared to stop riding shortly before the finish line.
Keenan explained that he had raced prominently and that at the time he eased up in his opinion, the winner whom raced from off the pace had headed him and was carrying considerably more momentum to beat him by an extending neck.
As such he was of the view he had finished in the best possible placing.
His explanation was noted, and he was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out fully to the end of the race.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Crazy Maisie (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that the filly had bled from the nose.
Tyler Heard reported that Laurentia (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer examined Crazy Maisie and Laurentia (IRE) post- race and found both to have an irregular heart beat.
