Murray lands first two-year-old race again with Blue
Roche filly Back on a winning note
She’s improved from last year. I didn’t know if she wanted six or seven (furlongs) but six looked fine there. She was only just touched off in the Birdcatcher on soft ground, so she handles that ground well.
Minute times it well at the Curragh again
He’s a marvellous horse and we knew there was plenty of life left in him. He’s dropped to a career low mark, and we had him ready today. We always use that Dundalk race as a nice prep run to blow off the cobwebs and its better than three bits of work really.
Hayes doubles up on classic entry Kindly
.She’d been working nicely, and is potentially a very nice filly,. Chris gave her a very nice ride. I wanted him to teach her on her first run and she quickened up nicely. I think you’ll see an even better performance on better ground. She’ll probably never want firm ground - will always like an ease in the ground. She’ll want seven to a mile. There is a lot of speed in the family, and she has a lot of pace. We’ll look at a Stakes race for her next and go from there. The horses are running well, and we had two nice winners recently in Dundalk.
Orandi bags big pot in Irish Lincoln
We were fortunate to have a very good rider on the day and it all worked out. He was always missing the break, and he rode him twice last year and was confident he would get him out sharp which he did today.
Dupont lays down the Law on return
He’d a lovely run in Galway last year. He was a big weak horse at that time, so we just put him away. We brought him in plenty early and said we’d have a go here. I’m delighted with him — he’s as nice a one as we’ve had for a while.
Kid comes good in first time tongue tie
I have to give a good bit of credit to Eoin Walsh who told me to put a tongue tie on him the last day in Fairyhouse when he ran over hurdles.
Bolger claims finale with 25/1 shot Glen
His last run wasn’t too bad, although I thought six furlongs might be a little short for him. He’s fairly straight forward, a suitable apprentice ride especially one claiming 10lb. She did it well.
