The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the finish line involving Victory Tip, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Bobby McGee (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane where it appeared Victory Tip was checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Rider, W. J. Lee stated he was aware of Bobby McGee drifting in so he took a check back. C.T. Keane stated that his mount shifted in left and at that point he tried to correct his mount straight away

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action

W.J. Lee, rider of Victory Tip, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check inside the last furlong

C.T. Keane, rider of Bobby McGee (GB), trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left under pressure

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shaftesbury Avenue (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
