The Stewards interviewed P. Carberry, rider, concerning his late arrival to weigh out on Greatness, trained by A.J.Martin, which resulted in him been replaced by D. J. Casey. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 196 (i), in that he had failed to present himself at the scales on time as he was required to do so. Having taken his previous good record in this regard in account, the Stewards fined him €200. .
