THE LAND & POWER MARES' OPEN MAIDEN NATIONAL HUNT FLAT RACE (CLASS 5) (Category 3 Elimination) (GBB RACE) An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final set of wings involving, the winner, Kentford Legacy (GB), ridden by Daniel Samson; Sky Blue Ribbon (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Richie McLernon and La Dame Ecarlate (GB), placed second, ridden by Gavin Sheehan.
The interference was found to be accidental as Sky Blue Ribbon (IRE) edged slightly left-handed at the same time as Kentford Legacy (GB) lugged sharply right-handed causing La Dame Ecarlate (GB) to be short of room between runners and Sky Blue Ribbon (IRE) to be taken off its intended line.
Following the race, Luke Scott reported that Glad To Be Alive (GB), unplaced, ran green and hung left- handed.
