The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Hilary, ridden by K.K. Hennessy, placed first, Carla's Princess, ridden by Gary Paul Halpin, unplaced , Art Scene, ridden by P.J. Smullen, placed fifth, Indigo Iris, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth and Snap Click, ridden by W.M. Lordan, unplaced, where it appeared interference had taken place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings. They were, however, of the opinion that K.K. Hennessy was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record, they suspended him for two race days. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Danmas, trained by Rodger Sweeney, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
