An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving LIFE IS BEAUTFUL, placed fifth, ridden by Tom Marquand, Serenity Prayer (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Oisin Murphy, and Lady Vivian (IRE), unplaced, ridden by James Doyle.
Marquand was suspended for 3 days for careless riding for switching is mount left-handed taking Serenity Prayer (IRE) off its intended line and causing it to make contact with Lady Vivian (IRE) which was also taken off its intended line.
An enquiry was held to consider why W J Lee, the rider of Catalina Delcarpio (IRE), placed third, appeared to use his hand in an attempt to encourage his mount during the race after dropping his whip inside the final half furlong.
The Stewards reminded Lee of his responsibilities under Rule D(2), that only an approved whip should be used to encourage a horse during a race.
