The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Teewinot, ridden by D
McMonagle, placed second, and Mayflower, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, where it appeared there may have been contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that both fillies rolled around a little and he suffered only very minor interference. B. M. Coen stated that his mount drifted left and when he went to correct her he missed his rein on the first attempt but corrected her as quickly as possible
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
