THE FOLLOW @attheraces ON X RESTRICTED NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 5) (for horses in Bands B, C and D) (GBB RACE) Permission was given for Potters Liberty (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held following a report from the Veterinary Officer that upon inspection Greek Street (IRE), trained by Harry Eustace was a gelding and not a colt, and that Harry Eustace had failed to notify the Racing Calendar Office of this fact.
After hearing the evidence from Eustace’s representative, Eustace was fined £300, this being his second breach within the previous 12 months.
The Starter reported that Seathegulls (GB) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 2:20pm.
Gary & Josh Moore were informed that the colt could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Approximately ½ a furlong out, a free-running Prince Kameo (GB), placed fourth, which was hanging badly left-handed up the home straight, shifted left-handed despite the rider's best efforts to correct the colt resulting in El Lambo (IRE), unplaced, becoming momentarily short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Prince Kameo (GB).
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Prince Kameo (GB), placed fourth, hung left-handed and Tyler Heard reported that Potters Liberty (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
