The winner Honeymooner (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 11 August 2023 where the filly finished seventh of eight runners, beaten 8 ¾ lengths.
William Muir’s explanation that the filly was suited by the step up in trip from 7 furlongs to 1 mile 2 furlongs was noted.
Honeymooner (IRE) was routine tested.
The performance of Between The Covers (IRE) which finished unplaced, was considered.
Harry Eustace could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
