An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line, involving the winner, Sail On Sailor (GB), ridden by Paddy Bradley, Don Pablo Colina (GB), placed third, ridden by Neil Callan and Takeitorleaveit (IRE), placed second, ridden by Donagh Murphy.
Murphy was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Sail On Sailor (GB)’s placing as it was found that the interference was borne equally between Sail On Sailor (GB) and Takeitorleaveit (IRE).
The interference was found to be accidental as Takeitorleaveit (IRE) shifted right-handed despite its rider’s best efforts at the same time as Sail On Sailor (GB) moved quickly left-handed before being corrected, causing Don Pablo Colina (GB) to be short for room and checked.
Following the race, Paddy Bradley reported that the winner, Sail On Sailor (GB), hung left-handed.
