THE CORAL VINTAGE STAKES (CLASS 1) (Group 2) Permission was given for Al Hudaiba (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
Passing the furlong marker, the winner, Dr Rascal (GB), had taken a tight but legitimate gap between the running rail and Pikachu (GB), placed fourth, who had thereafter edged slightly right-handed resulting in the runners brushing, and Pikachu (GB) becoming unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Dr Rascal (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line, involving the winner, Dr Rascal (GB), ridden by Kaiya Fraser, Haffner (USA), placed second, ridden by Ryan Moore and Al Hudaiba (GB), placed third, ridden by William Buick.
Fraser was cautioned for careless riding as on the run to the line, he allowed his mount to edge left-handed without timely correction, taking Haffner (USA), and in turn, Al Hudaiba (GB), slightly off their intended racing lines.
