Permission was given for Come On John (IRE) to go early to post and for Madrigal Moment (GB) and Zaeim Alharb (USA) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately three furlongs out involving Come On John (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Nolan, Zaeim Alharb (USA), unplaced, ridden by George Wood, Bovey Belle (GB), unplaced, ridden by Shay Farmer and Timetobenice (GB), unplaced, ridden by Oliver Stammers.
Being a 7lb claimer, Farmer was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental as Come On John (IRE), which had already shown a tendency to hang badly right-handed, shifted further right-handed away from Zaeim Alharb (USA) and in doing so, carried Bovey Belle (GB) off its intended line causing Timetobenice (GB) to become crowded for room on the rail resulting in Stammers taking a check.
Following the race, Mark Winn reported that Dingwall (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away and denied a clear run from three furlongs out to two furlongs out; David Nolan reported that Come On John (IRE), unplaced, hung badly right-handed and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding finished lame on its left-fore; Harrison Shaw reported that Ballitore (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed; Ben Robinson reported that Cookie Queen (GB), unplaced, was never travelling and George Wood reported that Zaeim Alharb (USA), unplaced, was never travelling.
