Sam England was cautioned as IT’S A LOVE THING had arrived in the Parade Ring without its declared tongue strap, which was then located and fitted to the gelding before going to the start.
Le Rouge Chinois (DEN), drawn 5, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.

After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of PERFECT CURVES (IRE).
Just inside the final furlong, PORFIN (IRE), placed third, edged slightly left-handed moving TILL IT SHINES (IRE), placed fourth, onto ANAMIKA (IRE), unplaced, which was carried off its intended line.
