G.M. Ryan, rider of Limestone Red, trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received consistent pressure from the outside in the home straight
B.M. Coen, rider of Alto Sax, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tightened from the outside in the home straight
D. Browne McMonagle, rider of Highway Sixty One, trained by L.Young, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered at the two furlong pole
L.T. McAteer, rider of Fantasy Fara, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount wasv hampered over a furlong down
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving God Of Thunder, ridden by D. King, Alto Sax, ridden by B.M. Coen, Limestone Red, ridden by G.M. Ryan, Highway Sixty One, ridden by D
Browne McMonagle, and Fantasy Fara, ridden by L.T. McAteer where it appeared several runners ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L.T. McAteer stated that he received pressure from both sides. D. Brown McMonagle stated that he got bumped from both sides. B.M. Coen stated that he got pressure from his outside causing him shoulder in on the horses inside him. G.M. Ryan stated that his mount was intimidated by horses outside him. D. King stated that he felt he kept straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards felt the incident was caused by Limestone Red hanging away from the horse outside him despite G.M. Ryans best efforts to correct him and therefore took no further action
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Arch Enemy, ridden by S. Coen, placed first, and God Of Thunder, ridden by D. King, placed sixth, where it appeared Arch Enemy leaned left into God Of Thunder for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 0-60 Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
