An enquiry was held to consider interference after jumping the final hurdle involving Pyrotechnic (FR), placed fifth, ridden by Niall Houlihan; Blue Universe (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Marc Goldstein and Ami Bondhu (FR), placed third, ridden by James Davies.
Goldstein was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed away from the whip, without timely correction, taking Houlihan off his intended line and causing Davies, who was improving to their inside, to switch his mount left-handed.
Following the race, Niall Houlihan reported that Pyrotechnic (FR), placed fifth, ran too free.
