An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend turning into the home straight involving the winner Duke Of Deception (IRE), ridden by Henry Brooke, Belles Benefit (IRE), placed third, ridden by Harry Bannister and Balkotic (FR), placed fifth, ridden by Emma Smith-Chaston.
The interference was found to be accidental as the weakening Balkotic (FR) became badly unbalanced as Duke Of Deception (IRE) lugged marginally left handed.
The performance of Sea The Clouds (IRE) which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Jamie Snowden could offer no explanation for the gelding's performance other than that the gelding appeared to lose interest after becoming detached from the field on the bend turning into the home straight.
The Veterinary Officer examined Sea The Clouds (IRE) during routine testing and had nothing to report.
