THE TENNENT'S LAGER HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) Permission was given for Mr Mistoffelees (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post; for Penelope's Sister (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The winner Geo (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Musselburgh on 26 April 2026 where the mare finished nineth of eleven runners, beaten by 9 ½ lengths.
It was noted that the Jim Goldie could offer no explanation for the mare’s improved form.
Following the race, William Pyle reported that Degale (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
Oisin Orr reported that Mr Mistoffelees (IRE), placed fifth, slipped on the bend.
