THE SKY BET FOR THE FANS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Permission was given for Ideal Guest (FR) to go early to post and for Gressington (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the line, involving Vince Le Prince (GB), placed second, ridden by David Allan and the winner, Wise Crack (IRE), ridden by Shane Gray.
Allan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed, without sufficient correction, causing Gray to be taken slightly off his intended line.
The winner, Wise Crack (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 25 June 2026, where the gelding finished eighth of thirteen runners, beaten by 15 lengths.
It was noted that Ruth Carr could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Wise Crack (IRE) was routine tested.
