Approaching 1 furlong out, T Or Coffey (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed despite its rider’s best efforts to correct the gelding, causing Different Drum (GB), unplaced, to be crowded for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final half furlong when T Or Coffey (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Mr Jamie Neild, interfered with Different Drum (GB), unplaced, ridden by Miss Serena Brotherton.
Mr Neild was cautioned for careless riding as he had failed to take sufficient steps from preventing his mount from hanging left-handed, causing Miss Brotherton to be briefly tightened for room.
Following the race, Mr Jamie Neild reported that T Or Coffey (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed in the home straight and Miss Serena Brotherton reported that Different Drum (GB), unplaced, became short for room ½ furlong out.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Throne Hall (GB), unplaced, finished lame on its left-hind.
