THE VEUVE CLICQUOT MOLECOMB STAKES (CLASS 1) (Group 3) Permission was given for Adonius (IRE), Brazilian Diva (IRE), Flight Signal (GB), RULER’S PRIDE (IRE) and Crownbreaker (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
RULER’S PRIDE (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately one furlong out involving the winner, Pershaada (IRE), ridden by Sean Levey and Brazilian Diva (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by D.
D.
Lima.
Levey was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed Pershaada (IRE) to drift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Lima to steady momentarily.
Following the race, David Egan reported that Crownbreaker (IRE), unplaced, took a false step approximately three furlongs out; the Veterinary Officer examined the filly post-race and had nothing to report.
James Doyle reported that RULER’S PRIDE (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
