That's the key to those type of horses, they stay in the same grade and they have a chance. I had her for a couple of runs and then she was claimed. We got her back and she has definitely turned inside out since she came back. She was probably a little unlucky not to win the first night (when runner-up here). That's the third run now in the space of less than two weeks, so we might bring her back here this side of Christmas for a pot. I'll see what Garry (O'Gorman, handicapper) does to her. I certainly don't think he will leave me in there (60 grade)! I think she will have no problem in a 0-70 or even moving up in grade. She has definitely improved, that's for sure.
Appeal emerges as cosy winner
He was just ready to start the last day. David Egan was over, and he rode a winner for me on Champions Weekend, so I was keen to get him on a couple. He got a lovely feel off him the last day. Just the race didn't pan out the way it suited the last night. He got to the front probably two (furlongs) out, a couple in front of him had collapsed, and he's a horse to kind of land there. We were keen to just ride him with plenty of confidence today and Shane obviously knows the horse well. He came highly recommended from him. Lucky enough, we picked him up in the online sale - Alpha Racing were moving him on. Just a horse that made a lot of sense to us and hopefully give the shareholders a lot of fun for the winter months. Keen to use Shane on him because I think he is probably a tricky-enough horse. He's only had the one win, but had been running well all year in defeat. I was keen to get him back on board because he knows the horse very well. Absolutely (get a stint over the winter series) - now that he is probably out of the 80 bracket, there's probably only a handful of races for him. The 0-90s and 0-100s are sparing, but I don't like running them too often anyway. He'll have one run before Christmas.

Creek collects in Dundalk finale
Delighted - this is the last run of the year for the (Purosangue Racing) syndicate. The syndicate expires on the 31st October and we just had this entry done. We will reload for horses for next year. This horse, plenty of ability. A mile and a-half and he will go over hurdles as well. All the lads in the syndicate have been very supportive and we thought this fella would win tonight. I think the surface made a big difference. In Galway, he got galloped into and it set him back. He got a bad cut behind.
