Permission was given for Lord Gorgeous (IRE) to go early to post and for Notre Maison (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Peggoty (GB), trained by Ed Walker and Notre Maison (GB), trained by Stuart Kittow had entered the Parade Ring after the signal to mount had been given.
The Stewards were satisfied that this was due to the previous race over 1 mile 5 furlongs, being several minutes late off and no further action was taken.
Leaving the stalls Cabeza De Llave (GB), placed second, jumped awkwardly and shifted right-handed moving Lord Gorgeous (IRE), unplaced, onto Notre Maison (GB), placed fifth, which was bumped and carried off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Cabeza De Llave (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference passing the half furlong marker involving Cabeza De Llave (GB), placed second, ridden by William Carson and Notre Maison (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Callum Shepherd.
Carson was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to hang right-handed under pressure, without sufficient or timely correction when not fully clear of Notre Maison (GB), causing Shepherd to be briefly checked in his run.
Following the race; William Carson reported that Cabeza De Llave (GB), placed second, hung right-handed and Josephine Gordon reported that Next Second (GB), placed sixth, hung right-handed throughout.
