Formscan By Gary Carson - SEKAKARMA (8) has run well on his last two outings and may be able to strike now. He was headed in the closing stages here on his penultimate start by the unexposed Who’s Da Goose and ran a solid race last time, when third at Cork. He is 4lb higher than on his last visit here but looks capable of another big show. Chosen Princess was third here three weeks ago and remains on the same mark. She looks like an obvious danger. Tantrum Boy hasn’t been far away on his last couple of outings and is another that has to be considered.

We gave him a couple of runs and he was a bit novicey, and this, that and the other. We thought he’d run a bit better in handicaps up to now, and I was disappointed with him the last day, but in fairness to Denis (O’Regan), he gave him a grand ride and learned in Tramore. We were wondering if we would stop or if we would keep going, and that’s why we were surprised about the money coming for him. He has worked well in the past and, in fairness, he was always going to be a stronger horse next year. We’re lucky with the way the race panned out and he’s owned by a pure gent in Jim Reaney, who also bred him. He’s a very loyal owner and is one of these lads who takes the bad news with the good news.

I had a race in Dundalk in mind for him but said I'd run today even though he was 7lb out-of-the-handicap. He'll get the 7lb (penalty) now, and whatever else, but is a tough little horse and I couldn't believe he got up.
