Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - At the prices currently available the tendency would be to side with something other than the up-in-trip Siskin. For the race you'd love to see the unbeaten son of First Defence go in at the Curragh for the fourth and most important time. Hopefully trainer Ger Lyons gets his wish - "I just want fast ground, like it is now, so we're not getting the excuse of soft ground over the trip. It's a stiff mile and I'd like to see him have a good clean run at it so that we have no excuses." A quick glance at the betting will tell you that many need considering but I'm loathe to be against Ballydoyle given the form their horses are in. I'm automatically looking to see which one Seamie Heffernan is on of the O'Brien sextet and it's LOPE Y FERNANDEZ that's the choice of the wily judge. The selection is two from two at HQ. Like Siskin though, the Lope De Vega colt steps up to a mile and his ability to stay has to be taken on trust. Sinawann is likely to be popular with each-way backers, and with good reason. Michael Halford said last month: "He has a wonderful temperament and he is probably our best three-year-old. He won his maiden and was then second to Mogul in a Group Two on Champions Day at Leopardstown. He has done very well over the winter and his work is very good at the moment. The plan is to start him back in the Irish 2000 Guineas. I don't think the ground will make too much difference to him - as long as we don't get extremes, it should be fine for him."
