Formscan By Gary Carson - Another cracking renewal of this race and THE GOFFER may prove the one to beat. Gordon Elliott’s charge has been a smart handicap chaser in recent years and had a recent mark of 134. He went down this route with a ‘Open’ success at Umma House in October and ran really well over the banks at Punchestown on his last outing. He sets a good standard. 2023 winner Its On The Line was fourth on his return at Ballindenisk late last month and is entitled to improve from that outing. Con’s Roc was impressive when running out a wide margin winner at Fairyhouse last month and is a progressive sort. He commands plenty of respect.
