Formscan By Alan Magee - A really competitive affair with nine of the 11 runners already winners and perhaps SAN MARTINO can come out best. The selection is weighted to reverse previous placings with Rebel Step on running at Thurles last autumn and Aidan O’Brien’s charge ran well on better ground when runner-up in a Premier Nursery over this trip at Listowel. To Glory scored on debut at Limerick last summer but didn’t progress on generally softer ground. He can be quite keen but could be a danger on this sounder surface. Russian River won a barrier trial here and again showed her liking for this venue when making most to beat Ferrybank (won since) last November. Soaring Sky and Catena Zapata both have plenty of potential to progress from course wins.
