The Noel Meade-trained seven-year-old looks very well handicapped off a mark of 127, having also attained a triple digit rating on the level. At home with an ease in the ground, the recent rain will have been very welcome to connections of the gelding. Veteran Lord Erskine has been in fine form all year despite his advancing years. Winner of a Listed handicap hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival, the 11-year-old showed up well on two runs at Galway. Last year's winner Man O Work is now 6lb higher in the ratings but has been lightly raced in recent times. A repeat bid has almost certainly been his primary objective.
