The selection is reportedly a temperamental gelding but may have found a good opportunity to open his account in this race for horses that have yet to finish in the first three. Beckistine has been soundly beaten in three bumper outings but is an obvious threat on his only hurdle run at Limerick where he’d just struck the front when falling at the final flight.
