Formscan  - RECKLESS SPENDING struggled when upped to 3m in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham's December meeting, but his Ascot third looked promising at the time and the winner of that contest scored on Trials Day. This appears to be a fine opportunity for Nicky Henderson's gelding to bounce back. Step Ahead won at Cheltenham on New Year's Day, with Neon Dream back in third, and he is entitled to be in the mix along with impressive Taunton winner Religous Cross.
