He was a smart bumper performer last season, beating other very useful horses in his two bumper wins and did little wrong in winning over 2m4f on jumps debut at Punchestown in October (the well beaten third horse was third in a Cheltenham handicap hurdle from a rating of 130 subsequently). He drops in trip today as he steps up in grade but is open to more progression over hurdles and is clearly a capable horse. Franco De Port is a very notable French recruit, having won his only previous race at top jumps venue Auteuil last March. The horse he beat at Auteuil, Fred, has been beaten in two British maiden hurdles in recent weeks but Franco De Port did beat that horse easily by 13L and Franco De Port could well be a smart type and is also proven on heavy ground. Tiger Voice was Listed-placed on the flat in France and has returned to that sort of form in recent times. He won well on testing ground at Cork recently and while this is a step up in grade, should be competitive but could prove vulnerable to smart types. Cayd Boy has done well to win both races in his career thus far and while he won nicely at Wexford latest, this is a far stiffer task.
