Formscan By Gary Carson - SARATOGA looked like he would improve a nice bit from his initial outing over timber at Punchestown on New Year’s Eve. The smart Flat performer had a couple of sticky jumps during the race but stayed on nicely at the end when third to Immediate Effect. He should have learned a bit from that experience. He gets a nice chunk of weight from his elders. Shuttle Diplomacy sets the standard off his mark of 126 and ran a solid race when chasing home King Rasko Grey at Limerick over Christmas. Lincoln Du Seuil has been mid-division on his two runs for Willie Mullins but the French bumper winner may be able to get closer now.
