The point-to-point winner didn’t run too badly on his most recent outing at Punchestown when sixth to a decent sort in I Started A Joke. This is a much easier task now. His stablemate Le Tatoue Madrik hasn’t made much impression in a couple of strong races to date but could get more involved now at this level. Gunnery Sergeant was mid-division in a hot contest, won by stablemate Classical Creek, at Navan on his last outing and it would be no surprise to see him play a much bigger role now in this company.
