The point-to-point winner also won a Naas bumper over 2m3f last season, and got his hurdling career off to a winning start at Gowran Park. He was a shade disappointing when soundly beaten in third behind stablemate Getabird and Mengli Khan in a Grade 2 at Punchestown last month but the winner is favourite for the Supreme Novices Hurdle and the runner-up previously won the Grade 1 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse. Stable-companion Fabulous Saga brings the highest rating to the table but that was achieved on bottomless ground at Cork. Dortmund Park stepped up considerably from a Fairyhouse maiden win to score in decisive fashion at Thurles, and may prove more of a threat than Dicey O’Reilly who won a 2m4f maiden here at the Christmas meeting. Jetz had his limitations exposed against the likes of Samcro and Next Destination but has less on his plate here.
