Colm Murphy's charge won with a bit in hand when scoring by six lengths then and a 9lb rise doesn't look over harsh for that. The Shantou gelding seems to be improving and could be a step ahead of the handicapper still. JP McManus owns four of these and Damalisque may be his best chance. Mark Walsh takes the mount on the French-bred who ran a big race to finish third in a very competitive three-mile contest at Leopardstown when last seen in February. He had been an easy winner over this trip at Navan previously and still looks relatively unexposed. Jacksons Gold heads the weights and is another to note on his return to action. The Gold Well gelding was a real star for connections, winning three times last season including over slightly shorter here in March.
