Formscan By Alan Magee - ONLY FOR OUR MAN won a point-to-point for Mark O’Hare and ran a cracker on his handicap debut when finishing strongly into second behind Umpire’s Call over an extended 2m2f at Naas last month. The selection appears to be quite versatile in terms of ground conditions and should relish this longer trip. Stardhem won twice over fences for Ben Pauling last year and made a great start for current connections when scoring over 3m at Cork last month with Mistyburn over 11 lengths back in third. King Gris has won both starts in the UK since joining Gordon Elliott but probably has more on his plate here.

He's very hardy. He's a funny, quirky horse at home - some days he would run away with you, other days he wouldn't want to go. He seems to be in the form of his life at the moment anyway, thank God. We had to make plenty of use of him in Roscommon because we knew two and a-half (miles) was his minimum. Hopefully, when he gets up to three miles, he will be better again. He mightn't have to make his own running. They (ManAboutHorse Syndicate) are a new syndicate - half of them are in Spain, and some of them are in America, and then there's a few here. It is great for them and they will enjoy tonight. They enjoyed last Monday and I don't think they got home until 3am, they will be the same again!. They went good and hard. He was just jumping well and I didn’t want break his rhythm. He battled it out and he was very good today on the good ground. It’s brilliant, I can’t believe it. I’m 17 and from Tipperary. I’ve had less then ten rides and that’s my first winner today. It’s brilliant to get it. He’s a gorgeous looking horse, we seen him on the online sale. He.was a great mover and we said we’d take a chance on him as he was cheap. When we got him home he gradually got a bit better and started enjoying life a bit more. We changed a few things around with him. We stepped up to three miles today, dropped him in and hoped for the best. I was delighted for Luke. He’s a good lad and works hard, he deserves a chance.
