Formscan By Michael Graham - A very tricky sprint handicap in which bets should be kept to a minimum. Although STRIKE ACTION's last two runs have been on the all-weather at Dundalk she did run third to Swerve at Listowel last year on soft ground. The ground has been drying out at the Curragh though was still yielding at the last check. It wouldn't be her preference, but as an improving filly she is taken to score. Stones Peak has been in electric form for Pat Martin but is moving steadily up the handicap and this looks her toughest test to date. Michael Mulvany's sprinters are always to be respected and One Of Three could go well here.
An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards fillies only which are EBF eligible 90 = 10stPenalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won. Any horse rated above 90 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 10st. Subsequently, the excess over 90 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any three year old rated above 90 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse''s rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
