A lightly raced five-year-old, the Henry De Bromhead-trained gelding won his only point-to-point start before joining current connections. Runner-up on his bumper debut at Gowran Park in March, he possibly needed the outing when a fair fourth on his hurdling debut at Galway in October. Second in a Listed bumper at Navan recently, Panjandrum had earlier won a similar race at Clonmel on his stable debut. A former point-to-point winner, he has the potential to make up into a decent hurdler. Dual bumper winner Minella Emperor improved on his hurdling debut when a promising fourth at Clonmel earlier this month.
