Formscan By Alan Magee - COMMANCHE FALLS has proved a highly progressive handicapper for Michael Dods and this looks a good opportunity to open his account in Stakes company. The selection won the valuable Stewards Cup for the second successive year at Goodwood last summer and was subsequently second off a big weight in the Ayr Gold Cup. He’s gone close a few times this season in Group races including when third to stablemate Azure Blue and Highfield Princess at York. Mooneista was a great servant to Jack Davison winning three times including the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes at this venue but has yet to sparkle since sold to current connections for 850,000 guineas last autumn. Ano Syra progressed really well winning four times last year including the Rockingham Handicap on this card and was runner-up to Go Athletico at Cork last month, while Wodao and Lady Tilbury are others to consider.
