Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Your inclination is to be against a twelve-year-old like FAUGHEEN, but looking at the opposition, getting behind the dual festival winner mightn’t be the daftest idea in the world. As owner Rich Ricci has said, there's no sentiment behind the decision to bring the Germany gelding back to one of his happiest stomping grounds, the hugely popular veteran having earned the right to be here as a dual Grade One winning chaser. This near two and a half miler is probably just about right trip wise, and hopefully 'the machine' has recovered after the tough questions he was asked at the Dublin Racing Festival. There aren't too many that you'd be ruling out with any great confidence. It'll be fascinating to see how Samcro gets on after his wind surgery.
