Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Owners Kate and Andrew Brooks, and rider Gavin Sheehan, have prospects earlier on this card with Itchy Feet in the Marsh, Skandiburg in the Pertemps, and Saint Calvados in the Ryanair. Sheehan is a Dunmanway, County Cork native, and there’s further Irish interest in this operation as County Wexford-based Sean Tiernan is also heavily involved. Not forgetting that Tom Cooper has a role as well. All the team could have plenty to cheer here through progressive youngster SIMPLY THE BETTS. Rouge Vif did okay for the same outfit when third in the Arkle on Tuesday, but Simply The Betts might go a couple of places better, and he was a course and distance winner in January. Second on that occasion, Imperial Aura, did his bit for the form with victory in the Northern Trust Company Novices' Handicap Chase on the opening afternoon. The handicapper is making it more difficult for Simply The Betts. On the plus side the third from his last win, On The Slopes, has followed up in the meantime, and is a Grand Annual entrant for Friday.
