He has two runner-up berths in maiden hurdles to call upon and ought to be a major contender here. Trasna Na Pairce showed good improvement when third over a similar trip at Kilbeggan last month and there could be more to come from him. He also showed ability 'between the flags' and when second in a bumper at Fairyhouse. Polemon has the ability to get involved while Irina's Path has been off since being pulled up at Kilbeggan last summer, but represents a strong stable and is far from out of contention.
