Formscan By Tom Weekes - CHEERFUL CHAP has been running well and retains a favourable chase rating. A three-time hurdle winner and currently rated 117 in that sphere, the selection has been mildly frustrating in three recent chases but nonetheless ran well each time and is suited by today’s similar conditions. Top weight Cahirdown Boy has been running well and wasn’t beaten too far in two runs since his Listowel success, while stablemate Dream In The Park seems reasonably treated on his return to chasing, under a 7lb claimer. A dual hurdle winner in England in 2022, he was well held in a valuable Navan hurdle recently but had previously finished second here in October and reverts to fences rated slightly lower in this sphere.
