Formscan By Mark Nunan - BRAWLER was well beaten on his comeback run at Fairyhouse but is sure to be sharper here and gets the vote by virtue of last season’s placed form. The Teofilo gelding made the first three in his first six starts over fences and his best effort was when runner-up in a valuable novice handicap at the Fairyhouse Easter meeting. If he can run close to his rating of 122 he’ll take plenty of beating. Even Flight had solid placed form over hurdles and made a good start over the larger obstacles when chasing home a talented winner at Wexford. Having made mistakes on that occasion, he then fell last time out at Cork so his jumping is an obvious concern. Mattie’s Mountain, who rattled up a hat-trick in handicap hurdles last season, has shaped with promise in his first two outings over fences and is another that has to enter calculations.
