Formscan By Donal Murphy - CITY SLICKER is likely to go off the short priced favourite and he is hard to oppose. The Willie Mullins trained gelding appeared not to get the trip of 2m 4f at Leopardstown last time out and dropped back to 2m he should prove hard to beat with Ruby Walsh in the saddle. He won his bumper over the trip at Fairyhouse in December and he was bought by JP McManus after that success. Some Drama went close on his last start and he is sure to run well while course and distance winner Irish Thistle is another with strong each-way claims after he finished third behind Don Cossack and Sizing Gold on his hurdling debut last time out. Of the rest, Maple Lady is perhaps the most interesting. The Martin Lynch trained mare is making her return to action after nearly two years off the track. She was last seen springing a 40/1 surprise when winning a bumper at Cork where she beat subsequent dual Grade 1 winner Benefficient into third. She is a half-sister to Cane Brake, Judge Roy Bean and Bob Hall and it will be interesting to see how she gets on here with Paul Carberry booked to ride.
