Formscan By Donal Murphy - KANDINSKI has some good bumper form to his name and he should be able to win this. The Robert Tyner trained gelding won a point-to-point on his second start at Knockanard in 2011 and had plenty of subsequent winners behind him on that occasion. He finished second on his first two starts in bumper company but then was off the track for nearly two years before he ran well to finish fourth in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day. He reverted back to a bumper last time out at Gowran where he again ran well to finish just three and three parts of a length second to Sizing Tennessee, who is currently a 20/1 chance with Paddy Powers for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. Pumbaa finished third in that Gowran bumper and so on form the selection should have the beating of Quickpick Vic, as he finished second to Pumbaa at Limerick over Christmas. Made In Germany was bought by Harold Kirk for €100,000 at Goffs last April just a few days after he finished second to Brand Ambassador in a point-to-point at Largy. Brand Ambassador hasn't shown much since that success but a good showing can still be expected from Made In Germany considering he is coming from the Willie Mullins yard. The Noel Meade trained Gaius Marius is another to consider with Nina Carberry booked to ride. He is a half-brother to flat winners Sanvean and Love Is The Key and cost just €5,500 at Goffs in February of 2011.
