Formscan By Donal Murphy - A cracking renewal of this three mile contest, with three Cheltenham winners, an Aintree winner, and the Ryanair Gold Cup winner in the line-up. RATHVINDEN is really making up for lost time this season, and he is the one I'll side with. The ten-year-old gelding was side-lined from March 2014 to December 2016, winning on his third run back at Wexford last July. He has since added another four, with his most recent success coming in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham last month. He failed to complete (brought down and unseated) when tested against many of his rivals here at Leopardstown over the winter months, and with a clear run now it'll be interesting to see how he gets on. Monalee finished a gallant second to Presenting Percy in the RSA at Cheltenham, and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go one place better now. Ryanair Gold Cup winner Al Boum Photo has a bit to find with Monalee, failing to beat that rival in three previous clashes. Sole UK raider Finian's Oscar gained a confidence boosting win at Aintree recently, and he should give a good account of himself here, back up in trip to three miles. Dual Grade 1 winner Shattered Love is another for the shortlist. She went down by just a length to Al Boum Photo on her last start at Fairyhouse, and another solid effort can be expected from her now.
