Formscan By Tom Weekes - Seven-year-old INDEPENDENT EXPERT is an eight-time winner and has plenty in her favour as she contests another claimer. Rated as high as 93 last July, she scored once from three starts in claimer company last winter and again showed her well being by winning on soft ground at Naas in March. She is retaining form and is suited by this distance. Gloriously Glam won a course claimer last September and is an able handicapper who should run well while all-weather specialist and stablemate Clonmacash has enough weight. Salacious disappointed at Naas in March but has previously shown form, although the three-year-old has 12lb to find with the selection on adjusted ratings.
For three years old and upwards to be claimed for #15,000 or less (Minimum claiming price #6,000) (also open to horses which are not to be claimed) (horses which are entered not to be claimed must, at entry, have run at least twice and be rated 70 or less)Weights - 3-y-o 9st 5lbs 4-y-o and up 10st 2lbs.

Quotes on Clonmacash (GB)
He doesn't always start well, but he does put his best foot forward late on. I do love that about him. He's a very solid, fun horse and he was very unlucky here with Adam (Caffrey) last month. That was a good race and Sam gets on well with him. The 5lb off certainly helped. After Clonmacash (GB) finished 1st at Dundalk on Wed, 1st Apr 2026 6f Flat Hcap Standard

Quotes on Gloriously Glam (IRE)
The boys bought her online and she had a couple of mediocre runs for me - it was quick ground. She loves a bit of room and a bit of space. Last week in Bellewstown, I wasn't going to run her with the ground. Then I looked, and she is a Profitable, and they have to go on it. She was a little bit unlucky, she just bumped into one of Joseph's. Today, I was a bit (worried) whether she would get the mile or not. I said to Adam if he could make it, make it. If not, just take a lead. Got a lovely lead and he said he was always going to get her in the end. She's very game and she stayed at it well for him. She wasn't an overly dear filly, she has been a great bit of fun. She is after winning twice for us and been second. It was a good race and nice to get that for her. After Gloriously Glam (IRE) finished 1st at Navan on Wed, 8th Oct 2025 1m Flat Hcap Yielding

Quotes on Independent Expert (IRE)
I knew she’d love conditions. She had been running at Dundalk and she probably shouldn’t have been as she likes a cut in the ground,. I wasn’t sure if she was fully revved up for today. She’s a filly that doesn’t carry much weight and takes no work to get ready. You’ll probably see the best of her fresh but at the same time I didn’t know if she had enough done to be involved. Joey gave her a lovely ride, he took her back and let them at it, and then she stayed on well. A mile is probably better for her as well. The boys are excellent at claiming, they don’t miss a beat and if there is any value they will take it. They were very sweet on her, they said she just needed a freshen up and she’s obviously done well for the break. She has been placed in some big handicaps and ran in Royal Ascot last year. We’ll make hay while the ground is soft. It’s absolutely brilliant to get one in those colours for the week that’s been. Obviously we lost Jim Gough who was buried last week. For Stephen and James McAuley it’s great for them to get a winner. Jim has been a massive supporter of mine for the last number of years. We’ve had some great horses and we’re going to miss him dearly. The whole yard will miss him. He’s been so good to us, buying horses and keeping us busy. There are ten in the yard at the minute. It would be great if it kept going, we’ll see. He just loved the game and leadinAfter Independent Expert (IRE) finished 1st at Naas on Sun, 22nd Mar 2026 7f Flat Hcap Soft
