Legacy winner Queen could head for Del Mar next
She’s very quick. She got bogged down the last day in Ayr, the ground wouldn’t have suited her at all. . Today she showed us what we were looking at at home. She’ll probably go for the Breeders’ Cup now, the Juvenile Sprint.
40/1 shot Girls impresses for McCourt
She’s lovely. She was very unlucky the last day, she came out of the stalls and starting plunging,. She had a very small saddle on her, I don’t know what sparked her off. We fancied her the last day and James was mad about her all along. He got down to 8-11 there and that’s light for him. On pedigree I was hoping the seven wasn’t going to stretch her but she stayed every yard of it and quickened up very well. She’s a lovely filly to do anything with. I was saying to one of the owners that the phone could be ringing after the way she won. We’ll see, we won’t do a whole lot more with her this year. We’ll let the dust settle. She’ll be very nice for next year, she’s a big filly.

Venetian on the mark for Davis
He thoroughly deserved that, he’s a consistent horse,. He didn’t stay a mile-and-a-quarter here, I got it wrong running him over that trip. We came back to a mile last time and I thought I wouldn’t be beaten on him to be honest. I'm starting to think how did I manage to get him beat looking at him winning tonight!. The handicapper put us out of the 0-60 and this was here for him. I wondered about coming back to seven as I hadn’t seen him winning over that trip on past form. I just thought the way he had been travelling, and he hadn’t been seeing out the last furlong, that if we came back to seven we might see him to the same effect and we did. I’m thrilled for the horse, for Peter who looks after him and Sinéad (O’Scanaill) my partner owns him so it’s a brilliant win. Paddy had a plan, he wanted to make the running. I said from his gate that he either had to go or take his time. Fair play to him he made the right call and gave him a peach of a ride. He’s a lovely rider and I was delighted to use him.
