C.D. Hayes, rider of Aratayvo, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got hampered early on. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, following the winning performance of Valorous Power (GER) in this race, which appeared to represent an improvement on its previous run. The trainer reported that the drop in trip and the better racing surface is what he attributed the apparent improvement in form to. Having liaised with the IHRB Handicapper, the Raceday Stewards considered the report and noted the explanation offered.
